Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a 5K? 10K? Half-Marathon?
5 kilometers = 3.1 miles
10 kilometers = 6.2 miles
Half Marathon = 13.1 miles (21.1 kilometers)

Can I wear headphones?

Yes, but we ask that you keep the volume down at a safe level so that you can hear other runners or instructions from event personnel. We also ask that you remove them, or, at the very least, remove one ear bud when you are coming to aid stations or in a crowd. The important thing is paying attention to everyone's safety and maintaining basic race etiquette with other runners.

Are there restrooms or port-a-potties on the course?

There are portable toilets near the start/finish area  and on the course, located around miles 2, 5, 8, and 10. There will be hand washing stations and plenty of hand sanitizer available.

What about Aid Stations?

There will be 8 aid stations containing water and sports drinks located at miles 1.5, 3, 5, 6.5, 8, 9, 10, 11.5.

Can I register on the day of the race?

Sorry, but not this year. Due to safety precautions and event size limitations due to COVID-19, all participants must pre-register.

Will there be age group awards?
Sorry, not this year. Again, due to safety precautions, there won't be an awards celebration. Results will be posted online after the event.

When and where do I pick up my bib/race packet?
Drive-through Packet Pick-up will be available Thursday, March 25th, and Friday, March 26th. Times and locations will be emailed out to all registered participants.

Packet pickup on the day of the race will be available from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the Two Rivers Park. Registered participants will receive detailed information about packet pick-up via email.

I am a very slow runner. Am I going to be out of place?
You won't be out of place at all. This is a community event and is open to participants of all abilities -- including walkers/hikers.

Is there a time limit?
The half marathon does have a 4 hour time limit.

Are there showers available?

Sorry, not this year.

Can my dog run with me during the race?
Unfortunately NO. As much as we love dogs and running with our own, not everyone is comfortable being around dogs (even if leashed) and for reasons of safety (for those with two legs and four) we ask runners not to bring their dogs along for the race. Service dogs are allowed.

Are strollers allowed?
Sorry, for safety reasons, due to the rugged and uneven terrain, baby joggers, strollers, baby carriers, and baby backpacks, are NOT allowed on this course.

Will the race be cancelled if it rains?
The race will be held, rain or shine. Courses may be modified to account for weather conditions.  Note: In the event of severe weather, disaster, or emergency occurrences, the event may be canceled to protect the safety and health of the participants and volunteers.

Can I get a refund if I can not participate?
Unfortunately we do not offer refunds for any of the events. Costs associated with the pre-planning and ordering of participant amenities well in advance of the race prohibit us from offering refunds. In addition, refunds are not issued if the event is cancelled due to pandemic, severe weather, disaster or emergency occurrences that may affect the safety and health of the participants.

Can I change distances once I've registered?
Yes. If you register for the 5k or 10k and want to move to a longer distance, contact us at adrianboosters@gmail.com.  You will have to pay for the difference in registration fees. If you register for the Half or 10k and decide you want to change to a shorter distance, let us know and we can adjust the distance. We do not issue refunds for the difference in registration fees.

Are there team discounts?
Due to limitations on participant numbers, there are no team discounts offered this year.

Will there be food provided after the runs?
Yes, there will be FREE Post-Race pre-packaged snacks for participants, as well as water and Gatorade. There won't be food vendors at the park this year. Please plan accordingly.

Are spectators and guests allowed?

Due to COVID, we are not allowing guests and spectators in the Starting/Finish/Packet Pick Up Areas in order to keep crowds to an absolute minimum.

There are locations throughout town where spectators may go to cheer you on being safe and using proper Social distance guidelines.

No spectator vehicles are allowed on the off-road portion of the course. The finish for the half will come down Emerald Slope Road which would be a good place to cheer, as well.
